RSF supported the project “Study of genetic adaptation of trees to stress environmental factors on the basis of genome-wide and dendrochronological analysis in the context of global climate change”, carried out jointly by the Genom Research and Education Center of SibFU and the Scientific and Educational Laboratory “Dendroecology and Environmental Monitoring”.

Earlywood-to-latewood transition and properties of latewood were investigated for Siberian spruce at three sites along elevational gradient. Interaction of external factors and internal limitation of wood structure was discovered. This and other findings were described in the manuscript that will be published soon in the international journal “Dendrochronologia “.
