The upcoming PhD defence

November 22 at 14:00 in the Siberian Federal University a meeting of the Dissertation Council on awarding the PhD SibFU degree will take place, where the thesis of Liliana Belokopytova, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory, will be considered. Topic: "Contribution of local habitat conditions and individual variability to the climatic response of conifers in the South Siberia forest-steppes". Belokopytova Liliana have been postgraduate student in SFU since 2013 in specialty "Ecology (Biological Sciences)". Now she concludes her education with defence of the dissertation research.
To assign an academic degree of PhD, recognized internationally, it is necessary to carry out the dissertation work and defend it in English language. The council members are selected individually among leading scientists, including foreign ones, in accordance with the direction of the study. The results of the research have to be published in peer-reviewed scientific journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science.
To be council members some scientists were invited: Patrick Fonti (Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research), Alan Crivellaro (University of Padova, Italy), and Marina Fonti (Institute of Forest SB RAS, Krasnoyarsk), who took part earlier in the carrying out of the International Summer School in Cheryomushki (2016), as well as Denis Rogozin (Institute of Biophysics SB RAS, Krasnoyarsk). The Siberian Federal University is represented by Eugene Vaganov, Vladimir Shishov, Sergey Verkhovets and Elena Babushkina (research supervisor).
