International conference

Laboratory staff took part in the international scientific conference "Priority directions of use of Gymnospermae in modern conditions", held in the arboretum "Alexandria", Bila Tserkva, Ukraine on October 21, 2020. This ancient dendrological park has an extensive exposition of gymnosperm trees and shrubs ("coniferetum"), the taxonomic diversity of which includes more than a hundred species, cultivars and decorative forms.

Due to the current epidemiological situation, the event was held remotely (Zoom online conference). The working languages of the conference were Ukrainian and Russian. During the event, 18 reports were made by scientists from Ukraine, Russia and Moldova, and then actively discussed. Foreign colleagues were interested in the use of methods of dendrochronology and wood anatomy in the study of the dynamics of the coniferous woody plants state and productivity, and the possibilities of international cooperation were discussed. In total, about 90 reports were sent to the conference, which will be published in the form of the proceedings' volume.
