The employees and the teachers of KhTI, a branch of SibFU, supervise foreign students from the moment of their admission to receiving a diploma and help to solve problems which students may be faced with during their studies.
The Khakass Technical Institute – a branch of Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution for Higher Education “Siberian Federal University” is located in the city of Abakan, the capital of the Republic of Khakassia (Russia, Siberian Federal District).
We offer training in Bachelor Degree, Specialty, Master Degree Programs in the following areas: Construction, Transport, Computer Science, Power Engineering, and Economics.
The training is conducted in the Russian language.
The Institute comprises educational buildings, computer labs, sports halls, a library and reading rooms, a language laboratory, and a section-type student dormitory. The accommodation in the student dormitory is provided to everyone, even during the period of entrance examinations. Each room houses 2 or 3 people.
In accordance with the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation”, the foreign citizens’ training is carried out at the expense of federal budget allocations. The KhTI – a branch of SibFU is open for:
• Citizens of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan (in accordance with the Agreement on deepening integration in the economic and humanitarian fields of March 29, 1996);
• Citizens of the Republic of Armenia, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Ukraine permanently residing in the territory of the Russian Federation (in accordance with the Agreement on cooperation in the field of education of May 15, 1992);
• Citizens of the Republic of Georgia either permanently residing in the territory of the Russian Federation or having permit for residence in the Russian Federation (in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Georgia on cooperation in the field of culture, science and education of February 3, 1994).
The citizens from the countries herein before mentioned have the right to get tuition-free higher professional education in SibFU on a competitive basis on condition that one is to obtain his/her main education and if there are state-financed openings for foreign citizens from a particular country.
Tuition-fee education:
All the rest foreign citizens (including those ones from the aforementioned republics who have failed entrance competition) have an opportunity to enter the Institute and to study under contracts for the provision of fee-based educational services.
All foreign citizens have the right to apply documents in case of a recommendation letter for admission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation
The Siberian Federal University and KhTI – a branch of SibFU as well suggest reimburse for travel expenses and discounts for applicants. There are also installment payments provided.

The list of documents required for applying to the Siberian Federal University to pursue Bachelor Degree and Specialty Programs:
• application for admission (in Russian) – the applicant submits one application form in which he/she points out no more than 5 training programs / specialties, conditions and grounds for admission;
• document certifying the identity of a foreign citizen;
• document confirming previous education with the original translation into Russian certified;
• certificate of recognition of foreign education and (or) foreign qualifications in the Russian Federation;
• written consent for processing personal data;
• certificates of individual insurance account number (IIAN) and tax identification number (TIN) (you may either put down these ones in the application form or provide copies of documents, if any);
• 2 photographs of 3x4 cm in size (full face; head-up, and uncovered) for applicants taking entrance examinations conducted by the organization independently;
• an electronic color photo with the resolution of at least 600 dpi (full face; head-up, uncovered, unretouched; the photo must be taken in a well-lit room) to ensure the applicant’s identity – in case of submission of documents required for admission in electronic format and if taking entrance examinations via distance technologies.
The list of documents required for applying to the Siberian Federal University to pursue Master Degree Program:
• application for admission (in Russian);
• document certifying the identity of a foreign citizen;
• written consent for processing personal data;
• document confirming previous education with the original translation into Russian certified (Bachelor’s Degree; Vocational Education and Training Diploma; Graduate Diploma of Higher Education; Master’s Degree)
The document of a foreign state on education is submitted with a certificate of recognition of foreign education except for cases in which, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation or an International Agreement the recognition of foreign education, is not required;
• certificate of individual insurance account number (IIAN);
• 4 photographs of 3x4 cm in size (full face; uncovered) to ensure the applicant’s identity.
